What is Artificial Intelligence?

When the discussion starts about artificial intelligence the first thing that comes in my mind is machine learning. I hope the same would have happened to you.
Then we will get confused with machine learning and artificial intelligence. Its not hard to learn the difference between Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

If you skipped the above recommended option i will tell you in short about the difference though there are only two main difference between ML and AI.

• When you give the data to the system and make it to learn by itself then it is known as machine learning. To be more clear, if the machine learns by itself through statistical methods then it is known as Machine Learning.
• Okay, Then what is artificial intelligence? You have read this article till here and you want to share this with a person who dosen't know english, then you build a translation system and then feed this data to the system you have built. What will be the output? The article which is in english will be translated to the language you want.

  In this case a computer which can perform the given task with the help of human intelligence is  known as ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE just like the image above (Combination of human brain and the computer). This is just a very small example of artificial intelligence to make you understand what it is. Don't think that only this is artificial intelligence. It is way more huge that what we both think.

So, now we know the difference between Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Now let's get completely into the topic. 

What is actually Artificial Intelligence and how will it be useful for me in my daily life?

It is the intelligence shown by machines similar to the intelligence shown by humans and animals. You feed data to the system and the system store the data provided by you and then responds correspondingly.

Have you ever used a chat bot or tried to create one. When we create a chat bot what we do is, we provide data to the software we are using to create the bot. This data we provide is nothing but what the bot has to reply to the query a person asks to the bot. The developer will set the probable types of questions and the answer that has to be given to the person asking the question, all these data will be provided to the software that is used for bot creation and the bot works correspondingly.

Will the bot work as per the developers design ?

The answer is - 99% the bot will run successfully.

What happened to the 1%?

The developer sets the question as "what is the time?" to the bot and designs the answer "It is _ _ _". So when the user ask the question "what is the time" the bot responds with "it is  _ _ _ ", this is because the developer has set it in such a way.
What is the user asks "what time is it?" to the system instead of "what is the time?" the bot responds with an error message. To avoid this the software developers have created the NLP (Natural Language Processing) method.
So this kind of stuff happen in the creation of chat bot's.

This is another example of Artificial Intelligence where the system (bot) responds to the user based on the information fed by the developer and i have told you one way that you could use artificial intelligence in you daily life.
If you feel lazy to create your own chat bot you can use google assistant, siri or even cortana.

You can also create voice recognition system using python which could control your computer. Yes it worked for me and i succeeded in it.

Now i have told you two ways you can use artificial intelligence int your daily life.

What does books tell about artificial intelligence? 

When you try to learn from book, then you are  choosing the difficult way for learning about AI and books won't help a person to learn from the basics. 

So when to study a book?

When you have done a lot of research on AI and learned the basics a little then you can read books and learn from them.

 The reason why i told you that books are difficult in the beginning is nothing but, books contain a lot of problems, Yes , mathematical problems. These mathematical problems are for finding solution for a game or any tree structure.

When you search for ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE in the net you will come to know about decision tree, problem solving and other games which would they convince you will be the easy way to learn and it is artificial intelligence.

But problem solving is not the only thing in AI, we should know where these problem solving methods has to be implemented.That is the real process of AI, apart from that there are other phases of AI as said above like chat bot creation and other technical uses. 

So, there are many phases and difficulties in artificial intelligence and it all depends on which phase we choose and what we wish  to do with that.
