Search engine optimization which is commonly known as SEO is a method used by search engines to optimize websites to increase its rank while displaying the search results. Lets us assume that you have developed a website for uploading and storing data and this uploaded data can be downloaded through the website itself. Now only you know the existence of the website , but the main idea is to make the public use the website for uploading purpose. If you are selling a tennis ball online then the content should be given as "tennis balls for sale.cheap and good quality tennis balls for sale",this kind of text should be provided repeatedly because the user searched for either cheap balls or good quality balls or cheap and good quality tennis balls , so google searches for websites containing the keyword "cheap tennis balls" and your product will be selected because you would have used the word cheap more number of times in the product description.This brings your product either in the first or second rank in the search results.

LINKS :-

        Your webpage should contain more links to other pages . As i said the webpage which you have developed for file upload should contain more links like ,login,signup, news, file upload, etc..This is important for optimization . The more the links the more your website looks huge.

REPUTATION :- 

                Good opinion is important for people to use your webite.Though you optimize your website through seo it is also important to share your domain to other people you know through social media , email etc and let them know about your website.
